Southwest Initiative Foundation

Heartland Community Action Agency, Inc. (Heartland) has received a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Southwest Initiative Foundation to increase effectiveness through collaboration. Heartland in partnership with Prairie Five Community Action Council, Western Community Action Agency, and Southwest Minnesota Opportunity Council will utilize these funds to meet the following objectives: Develop new programs which originate as a joint partnership to serve the 18 county service area; develop and implement a singular best practice model for existing programs provided by multiple agencies; share staff and program coordination; and develop joint board meetings for shared programs.
 

Board Member Position Opening

At-Large Consumer Position
Heartland is seeking to fill the position of At-Large Consumer Sector Representative. This position requires experience and insight in the area of Early Child Development. Representative can be from any one of Heartland's service counties: Renville, Kandiyohi, McLeod or Meeker. The consumer representative does not need to be low income but be able to represent the needs of low income people.
